It may sounds bad but keep it in mind that people now who will do bad or good will always use modern technology for their advantage. And probably Google Earth is one of the modern technology which people can use for several reasons whether in positive or negative way.
One example is the terrorist attacks happend in Mumbai, India. According to the officials who invetigate the said attacks, the terrorist who conduct attacks in various place in south Mumbai used digital maps from Google Earth to learn the such locations. Police interrugation of one nabbed terrorist said that the terrorist were highly trained and used technologies such as satellite phones, and global positioning systems (GPS).
Countries such as Indian securities and China have complained that Google Earth exposed their military locations and other sensitive installations. Former India president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam warned in a 2005 lecture that the easy availability online of detailed maps of countries from services such as Google Earth could be misused by terrorists.
Although there are some good sides on using Google Earth but we can’t deny that some people may use it in a negative way. ![]()

what happen in mumbai is a tragedy. terrorist use religion as their agenda to kill other innocent people.
they are highly trained and even use Black berry to communicate with each other. We cannot blame technology, but blame the people. Weapon do not kill, people kill people

This is an interesting topic to debate. Terrorist is expanding as the technology does. I second lankapo’s thought about weapon do not kill but people does.

Technology itself is not necessarily bad. It is the people that use it that detirmines whether it will be used for good or bad.
