I have been blogging for a year now but there are times where I set aside blog posting and spend the whole time on some stuff. And realize that I didn’t make any single blog post because of some stuff that distracts my blog posting.

As I realize that there are some important things that bloggers should do but can surely distracts his writing tasks. And here are some factors that distracts me from blog posting.

Some Factors that distracts me from blog posting:

1. Yahoo Messenger and IRC (Internet Relay Chat) - Most of the time this stuff eats my attention and sometimes when conversation is pretty much interesting I end up nothing in blog post.
2. Youtube - I love to watch some basketball, movie, music and funny clips here. So I tried to discipline my self on visiting this site probably 1 hour is fine . (I forgot to mention xtube also ).
3. Friendster and Facebook - updating my profile, posting some bulletins and interacting with my friends list could also eat more time.
4. Social Bookmarking - Been addicted with this for now and I tried to bookmark some of my post to a couple of social bookmarking sites everyday.
5. Entrecard - Doing 300 blog hop per day could eat enough time but it does help my traffic grow but I tried to avoid doing a hundred rounds for now and concentrate on increasing my search engine traffic.
6. Blog Designing - doing some few adjustment on my blog could spend a lot of time so I tried not to do some tweaking.
7. Reading and Commenting some Blogs - I usually visit some blogs that catches my interest. I don’t care if we’re on different niche as long as I enjoyed reading there post. I sometimes lived some comments with it.
8. Traffic/Affiliate Stats Report - It is really sucks but I can’t avoid seeing my stats report. It is a great thing to see how your traffic/earnings increase and where your visitors came from. It can be a habit but could take away your time in blog posting.
9. Make Money Online Programs - There are lots of make money online programs available online and testing or reading each of them could take a lot of time. But if you want to make money online then you have to do it.
10. Forums - Been a member on a couple of forum sites and it does spend a lot of time in responding some post. But it could also help advertising your website thru your forum signature.

This are the factors that distracts me from blog posting but there’s nothing wrong on doing these activities. In fact by doing those activities it could help you a lot on increasing or improving you blog performance. Now I’m asking you what does distracts you from blog posting?
