Are you still care of the Alexa updates lately? Well, I am
! I still remember when I made some post few months ago when Alexa rank slaps rhyan dot net site and darn it was really felt bad. I guess I’ve learn my lesson and did some few things to made my Alexa ranks burst up. Alexa rank and this site is like a husband and wife relationship, love and hate things happen along the way. Probably not only me has experience this scenario but most blogger do.
This humble blog is now 172,000 plus on Alexa ranking from its previous rank which is around 280,000 plus. Well, it was a very tough ride to climb at this point probably experts would say its not enough but I guess it does show that when you work hard, you will get good results. Now I’m trying to work with my Google pagerank which I was been slapped last pagerank updates because of doing some paid post
. But that’s fine, I know it’s all my fault and I’m responsible for my actions. We all know that Google is not so friendly with sites who do some paid post but make money online opportunities are more available in doing some paid post.
Now I’m trying to avoid doing some paid post and will try to concentrate more on squeezing some cash on affiliate marketing and a lot more
. By the way I’m selling my 125×125 banner ads space for only $5 per month. And as you can see this blog has 8,000 page views per month and I’m trying to improve it, not that big enough but I’m happily to announced that I’ve got two wonderful sponsors who bought an ad space on this site. I’m proud that my ad spot price is so reasonable that you should not missed.

To be honest, I don’t give a lot of credence to Alexa. It is highly inaccurate, but yes… I guess it’s important for bloggers who’ve monetized their blogs. I prefer to measure my blog in terms of number of comments (from repeat visitors).
Explanation:
I wrote a TOTAL of 2 entries this whole year in 2008. TWO. I went on hiatus this past March… and now the hiatus is nearing 6 months. Funnily enough, I just found out that I’ve been recently nominated for some award in the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards. LOL.
Before I left blogging, my Alexa rank was approx. 260,000. During the hiatus, the Alexa rank kept VASTLY improving. A few days ago, my blog reached top 100,000. It is now @ 92,444. I’m guessing it’s because of the Entrecard effect.

Congratulation fruity for being nominated on Phil. Blog Awards
. I think you’re right Entrecard does really affect on Alexa rank.

I didn’t know what I do (certainly not doing anything to “exploit” the rank), but I got around 69,000 of Alexa Rank now ^^
It’s sort of useful to market your own blog to private advertisers (by boasting your PageRank and AlexaRank)
Good luck for yours

thanks Michael
. I tried to market my blog and got two advertisers so far, I had PR before but got slapped and it’s all my fault, I work on it to get it back.

At least you got two advertisers out. I think I’m going to try out affiliate marketing if my site’s page rank suffers. Thanks!
September 15th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
yeah thanks to my advertisers
. then why don’t you try PPJ affiliate marketing and avail the $10 sign-in bonus I made a post on it –> http://rhyan.net/2008/09/11/make-money-online-with-pepperjam-network/

Well it seems that everybody is updating their ‘ranking system’ and/or ‘algorithm’ too; StumbleUpon announced new system recently so I just wonder wither we are turning into SEO 3.0?
September 27th, 2008 at 12:15 am
Well I guess they just need to update it all to adopt on what they called advance technology :))
