Apple opens first self owned store in China

Apple has finally open it’s first self-owned store in China. Although there are some Apple boutique stores available in some cities in China, but these stores are all owned by Apple’s dealer. Apple products was been available in China for a decade via Apple dealers and not belong directly to Apple.
The first store was located in Beijing Sanlitun entertainment district, about 3.5 miles northeast of Tiananmen Square. Apples first self owned store in China is the 219th store worldwide. The Apple store has overshadowed another flagship store in the same complex. The worlds largest Adidas store opened in the Village at Sanlitum complex, facing Workers Stadium North Road, one of Beijing’s busiest street.
An estimate of 400,000 to 1 million original iPhones use in China, according to research firm In-Stat. But local buyers face higher prices compare to their overseas counterparts. Items like iPod touch will be available up to 32G bytes model, retailing for 4,488 Chinese yuan or US$647.33. iPod touch same model can be bought for US$499 on Apple’s online store.
