Remember my last May post entitled “Malaysian Blogger charged with sedition“. It was about the Malaysian blogger that was charged of sedition after posting an article that involves top government officials. Now the said Malaysian blogger was also charged with defamation after his sworn statement which linked the deputy prime minister’s wife to a murder.

Raja Petra Kamaruddin, founder and editor on the Malaysia Today website will be facing three charges of criminal defamation on two military personnel and deputy prime minister’s wife Rosmah Mansor. Raja Petra, 57, has already faces a sedition charges last May and now his facing a charged with defamation. According to Raja in a reports, “I am ready to face my day in court”. If Raja will be convicted, he will face 3 years in jail.
