The number of mature adults 65 years of age and above in the U.S. population has grown tremendously during this century. The fastest growth has occurred among those aged 85 years and over. In 1990, 1 in every 25 of Americans was 65 years and above. The number increases and it reaches 1 in 8 Americans by 1994. According to some study that by year 2050, 1 in 5 of Americans will be 65 years and above. Every year, the number of adults aged 65 years and older has grown rapidly.
The growth number of mature adult Americans that 65 years of age and above maybe the results of being health conscious and some medicare advantage that is being provided to them. This growth number of mature adult is not only happen in America but also in Asia. We all know that Asian people live longer, last February 22 this year Japan’s Oldest Person Tsuneyo Toyonaga died at the age of 113.
