All Optimized and Going Nowhere?

This article came from Jennifer Horowitz.

It happens sometimes. Here are some of the common reasons you may not be indexed:

Index Time: It hasn’t been indexed yet. The amount of time before the engine indexes your site should be listed on the search engine’s submission page, but these aren’t always accurate or may be out of date. On the average, index times range from one to eight weeks depending on the engine. Some engines like AltaVista and Inktomi provide paid options if you wish to be indexed more quickly.

TIP! Time frame and expectations: Allow up to 4 months, if you are number 10 and want to be number 1, then it may just be time that is needed - but if you aren’t showing up at all, then you need to look at keywords, content, title, description and keyword tags. Continue Reading →

Windows 7 sometime next year?

According to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates a new version of Windows operating software with a code-named Windows 7 will be released “sometime in the next year or so.”

During the seminar on corporate philanthropy held in Miami of the Inter-American Development Bank. Gates answered to a question from the audience “That’ll be sometime in next year or so that we’ll have a new version.” Gates said new version of Windows would help revolutionize mobile phones and run desk of the future, which would have a touch surface display allowing users to call up items using their hands. (Sounds interesting isn’t it?).

The software giant has expected to release a new version of Windows 3 years after the introduction of Windows Vista in January 2007. The Vista program successor might be released sooner than its expected. It seems Windows Vista failed to capture the interest of Windows users. Microsoft should polish or even refine everything before they released Windows 7 to avoid certain problems. The release should not just by date-driven but to release it truly worthy. I think, Microsoft should not bite off more than it can chew.
