I love to watch movies or even documentary reports in National Geographic that is all about whales to be specific “Killer Whales” or also known as “Orca”. From “FreeWilly” series and to the old movies “Orca the Killer”. I even made a post entitled “Whale Tracking Online” which is about tracking whales online through interactive Google map.
What makes me more interested about killer whales is this rare white killer whale spotted in Alaska’s Aleutian Island. The whale was spotted last month while a group of scientist conducts a survey of Pollock, a whitefish . “This is the first time we came across a white killer whale,” according to John Durban a a research biologist at NOAA’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center in Seattle.

It appeared to be a healthy, adult male about 25 to 30 feet (7 to 9 meters) long and weighing as much as 10,000 pounds (4,500 kilograms). Well it seems to be a rare one I guess.
