Giant software Microsoft has released 11 security updates to fix 17 individual flaws in all Microsoft major application. Microsoft rated 6 of the eleven updates are critical which means they should be installed as soon as possible while the remaining 5 are important.The critical patches are MS08-007 updates fix critical flows for Windows XP and Windows Vista WebDAV software. MS08-008 fixes the flaws within operating system’s Object Linking and Embedding (OLE).
This update affects Windows 2000, XP, Vista and MS Office 2004 for MAC and Visual Basic 6. MS08-009 concerns on Microsoft Word. MS08-010 updates fix ActiveX bug that affects Visual FoxPro users. While MS08-012 and MS08-013 fix some flaws on Microsoft Office Publisher and Microsoft Office..
The remaining 5 updates are rated as important. This updates are Active Directory on Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003, Windows Vista’s Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Microsoft File Converter and two addresses on Internet Information Server (IIS).The updates shows client-side flaws are much higher risk than server-side.
