WidgetBucks, one of the internet fastest growing ad network has announced that starting January 15, they’ll gonna stop the $25 sign-up bonus on their new accounts. Which means new publisher should work more harder to achieve the $50 minimum payout.
The company also announced that they will made some adjustment on their referral commission instead of giving 10% referral commission before, it will turn to 5%. But this will only affect on new accounts, while existing account will still enjoy the 10% referral commission.
In short, all adjustment will not affect existing members. Widgetbucks might have some reasons why they made some changes with their bonus and referral commission. Could this be a bad sign? Hope it’s not ![]()

My personal feeling about WidgetBucks is that they’ve got some serious issues.
I do not use them, so can’t comment on whether or not their advertising provides a decent return on investment.
However, their widget loads so slowly and hangs up my entire browser for so long, I’m now making a list of blogs which use it, and am avoiding them like the plague.
So, you tell me… if I won’t visit because you’re using WidgetBucks, what’s that gonna do to all the other ads (including Entrecard)?
I’d advise everyone who’s serious about monetizing a blog to use something that loads quickly, you have as much control as possible over, won’t cost you an arm and a leg… and provides you a decent return.

Shari: I use WB widget before and you’re right their widget hangs up your browser even though they made some explanation about it I’m still not convinced on their reasons.
