Singapore Airlines was the first company to get the world’s largest passenger plane. The 73 meter long Airbus superjumbo plane and could carry up to 853 passengers was handed at the Airbus headquarter on Toulouse, France (Monday). The said project is 18 months behind schedule because of some problems on Airbus side.
Thomas Enders, chief executive of Airbus, said: “We are obviously extremely proud to deliver the first A380 to Singapore Airlines, but this is the latest milestone in a long journey.”

Chew Choon Seng, chief executive of Singapore Airlines, said: “Although it has taken more time than initially anticipated, the A380 is well worth the wait.”
The said plane will leave Toulouse for Singapore on Tuesday. Singapore Airlines will hold its inaugural commercial flights Singapore-Sydney on October 25.
